Dan Burkhart, Founder of NBAA's Regional Program, Retires

Business aviation veteran Dan Burkhart, who joined the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) in 1998 to create NBAA’s Regional Program, retird from his post as the director of regional representatives for the organization, effective July 6.

Matt Hins joins the AC-U-KWIK team

Matt brings a diverse skill set to the Penton Marketing team. He is a proficient writer with graphic design skills, he has experience with e-marketing & database management, and he excels in the customer service / sales environment. Matt has worked with a range of small businesses and multinational corporations to polish their respective marketing programs. Every project poses its unique set of obstacles, and Matt is driven to meet those challenges with creativity and persistence.

Matt holds a Masters Degree in Media Arts & Communication from Emerson College in Boston, as well as, English and Creative Writing degrees from the University of Oregon. He is an avid reader and enjoys movies, cooking, and travel. In his spare time, Matt also works as a freelance photographer, producing marketing images for small businesses and covering events, ranging from weddings to nonprofit fundraisers.

The broad range of skills that Matt poses will furnish Penton Media with a versatile team player. At the same time, Penton should provide Matt with the opportunity to hone his talents with narrow focus on the private aviation industry. The partnership will certainly produce great results in short time.

Arturo Mora Leaves AC-U-KWIK, Andrew Bell Joins as Project Manager

We are sad to announce that Arturo Mora, our current Project Manager for the AC-U-KWIK Alert and FBO Connection e-newsletters, will be leaving us soon. In addition to these newsletters, Mora also managed the Air Charter Guide print books, some Penton Media Buyers’ Guides and the Aircraft Bluebook Marketline e-newsletter.

Taking Mora’s place will be Andrew Bell, who has been with Penton Media since 2008 and has assisted with not only the Air Charter Guide, but also many projects for AC-U-KWIK. With a background in graphic design, we are confident and excited to have Bell step in as the new Project Manager for the Air Charter Guide print books and AC-U-KWIK e-newsletters.

Jeff Curry Joins Business Jet Access

Fills New Position as Managing Director
 

Business Jet Access (BJA), a leading aircraft services provider, has named aviation veteran Jeff Curry as Managing Director. In this new position, Curry is responsible for overseeing both the technical and business divisions. He will report to Brian Hoffman, General Manager, Business Jet Access.           

Prior to joining Business Jet Access, Curry served as Business Unit Manager with Pratt & Whitney at their Grand Prairie, Texas, facility. A 25 year aviation services veteran, Curry also held key positions of increasing responsibility with Gulfstream Aerospace including Aircraft Completions Manager. 

Curry obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business and is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He also holds an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.  

“We are pleased to have Jeff Curry join our team as we continue to grow our aircraft charter, management and maintenance capabilities,” Hoffman said.
