Bob Agostino Joins L.J. Aviation

Bob Agostino, vice president of operations for L.J. Aviation (LBE).L.J. Aviation is pleased to announce that Bob Agostino has joined the company as Vice President of Operations. Agostino, a Western Pennsylvania native, returned from Wichita, Kan., where he worked for Bombardier Aerospace as Director of Flight Operations, Bombardier Business Aircraft.

During Agostino’s 14 years with Bombardier, he most notably spearheaded the development of Bombardier's annual Safety Standdown, a first-of-its-kind flight safety seminar that is internationally acknowledged as the premier safety event for the aviation industry. In 2002, Agostino won the Business and Commercial Aviation Vision Award for the Safety Standdown. In 2007 the program won the prestigious Aviation Week & Space Technology Laureate award.

L.J. Aviation is proud to add Agostino to its management team. L.J. Aviation, winner of the FAA's prestigious Diamond Award of Excellence and holding a Platinum AR/GUS rating for exceptional safety compliance and policies, shares Agostino's passion for aviation excellence. "At L.J., safety is our most critical concern, and our performance in this area is second to none." Kilkeary also said that Bob's experience and expertise would only enhance L.J. L.J. Aviation is an aircraft services company specializing in aircraft charter, management and acquisition. L.J. Aviation employs more than 100 and manages a fleet of 27 aircraft including large, medium and light jets, turbo-props and helicopters. The company services clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with base operations in nine locations nation-wide including Pennsylavnia bases in Latrobe and Pittsburgh.

Agostino has accumulated more than 20,000 flight hours in jet aircraft ranging from DC-9 to super sonic jets and has earned eight different type ratings, including his Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating. He is also a graduate of the National Test Pilot School, and a member of The Society of Experimental Test Pilots. With more than 30 years of experience in flying jet aircraft, Agostino is the recipient of eight National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) flight safety awards and has set eight world records.
