Smyrna Air Center (MQY) Joins the Avfuel Network of Branded FBO Dealers on Offering Aviation Fuel and Services

Avfuel Corporation announced that Smyrna Air Center has joined the Avfuel-branded network of FBO dealers in offering fuel and related services to the corporate and general aviation industry. In addition, Smyrna Air Center has expanded its aviation-related services to offer engine conversion capabilities through its Power90 King Air program. A converted aircraft equipped with GE Walter engines will be on display at this summer’s EAA AirVenture event in Oshkosh, Wis. Exhibits are planned for the National Business Aviation Association’s Annual Meeting and Convention this October 20-22 as well.

“Avfuel is very pleased to be partnered with Smyrna Air Center,” said Avfuel Director of Marketing Marci Ammerman. “Smyrna Air Center is a modern, customer-service oriented FBO with a business philosophy that mirrors our own. They are dedicated to providing excellent service at a very fair price, which we believe helps keep the aviation industry at large strong.”

Smyrna Air Center is a full-service FBO boasting 30,000 square feet of recently-built, climate-controlled hangar space and a large FBO terminal that suits the needs of both passengers and crew 24 hours a day. The FBO facility features a spacious modern conference room, pilot relaxation rooms, wireless internet and a full range of business and flight planning tools. Leasable office space is available. Truly a one-stop shop, Smyrna Air Center also offers aircraft maintenance through its Part 145 repair station.

Located at the Smyrna Municipal Airport, only minutes by ground from downtown Nashville and the Nashville Superspeedway, Smyrna Air Center is ideal for easy, low air traffic arrival and departure. MQY is a large airport with two asphalt runways of 8,037 and 5,546 feet that feature an ILS approach and an operating control tower.

“Our service is unexcelled and our prices are lower than the competing Nashville airport,” said Erick Larson, Chief Operating Officer of Smyrna Air Center and private pilot.
