Houston Executive Airport Builds World’s Largest FBO Arrival Canopy

Measuring over 32,800 square feet, the canopy is part of the current construction of Henriksen Jet Center at Houston Executive Airport located along Houston’s energy corridor in west Houston. Weir Enterprises is building the canopy as part of ongoing construction of the 22,500-square-foot premier FBO terminal building which is expected to be completed and open for business in February 2013.

Henriksen’s passion for aviation, vision and keen business acumen continue to reap rewards for the state of Texas with the opening of Houston Executive Airport in 2007, and Austin Executive Airport in 2011. A former commercial pilot, Henriksen privately funded both airports.

Andrew Perry, A.A.E, Executive Director for Houston Executive Airport and Austin Executive Airport said the construction of the new terminal building will be a draw to Houston’s economy and answers the call for increased traffic at the airport. In the last ten months, Houston Executive expanded hangar lease space to over 122,000 square feet.
