The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced the selection of three recipients of the 2012 International Operators Scholarship.

The first recipient, Nikolas Bray, is a student in the professional pilot program at the University of Oklahoma. He has worked to expand his knowledge of the world by learning Spanish and working in Chile for one summer. He plans to use the scholarship funds to complete his certified flight instructor rating at the university.

The second recipient, Gregory Frister, is a student at Lewis University majoring in aviation management. He plans to use the scholarship funds toward a degree in the program, and also in support of his flight training to complete his commercial and instrument pilot ratings.

The third recipient, Basham Johnson, is a business aviation professional pilot with Jet Aviation and has experience with worldwide travel. He plans to use the scholarship funds to complete an MBA with a concentration in international business at Samford University.

The 2012 International Operators Scholarship is valued at $13,500, which is divided among the recipients for their professional development toward careers in business aviation that are related to international operations. This scholarship program is administered by NBAA's International Operators Committee and made possible by the following NBAA Member donors and their representatives:

  • Anita Trotter-Cox, Assessment Compliance Group, Inc., given in memory of her father, Thomas J. Trotter
