Sheltair And Vail Valley Jet Center Are Attractive FBO Options For International Travelers for the 2014 LABACE

Sheltair, the chain of 14 premier FBOs  strategically located in Florida, Georgia and New York, and Vail Valley Jet Center, a luxurious access point to Colorado’s most celebrated ski areas, will debut enhanced offerings at this year’s Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE), running August 12-14. The FBOs, both members of the Avfuel network, will co-exhibit in stand # 1017.

Karen Kroeppel, director of sales and marketing for Sheltair, cites the soon-to-be-completed south runway expansion at Florida’s Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (KFLL) as a draw. The runway project will expand and elevate the south runway to 8,000 feet long and 150 feet wide, increasing both capacity and safety and providing direct access to Sheltair’s Westside Hangar Complex, currently expanding into the second of three planned construction phases.

“Phase one of the Westside Hangar Project added over 100,000 square feet of hangar space and 30,000 square feet of office space. The improvements undoubtedly brought new business to KFLL, and we expect phase two to be equally attractive,” said Kroeppel.

Phase two will add four large corporate hangars designed to house up to G650-sized aircraft (one unit will be capable of housing up to a Global 700) and will feature tilt-up concrete construction designed to protect against all forms of weather, state-of-the-art safety and building systems, and adjoining office space that can be custom built to suit any tenant. Sheltair’s Regional Director of Properties and Leasing of South Florida, Iris Smith, will be on-site at LABACE to discuss pre-leasing options and package incentives.

Sheltair’s full-service FBO at FLL offers onsite US Customs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, along with Sheltair’s award-winning customer care and a wide variety of amenities.

Vail Valley Jet Center (KEGE), repeatedly recognized in industry surveys as a top-rated FBO, is preparing for an influx of travelers to the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, taking place in nearby Beaver Creek February 02-15, 2015. The event, which features 11 races over a three-day period, boasts over 500 athletes from 70 countries – the most impressive collection of international ski racing talent outside of the Olympics – and will draw an anticipated 750 million television viewers. Jamie Roosa, director of marketing and customer relations for Vail Valley Jet Center, says the FBO offers travelers to the event much more than simply a convenient location.

“We offer on-site US Customs, allowing for effortless entry, as well over 156,000 square feet of heated hangar space,” said Roosa. “Additionally, we provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the highest levels of service to make our guests feel at home.”

Vail Valley Jet Center and all 14 Sheltair FBO locations are members of the Avfuel Branded FBO Network, offering Avfuel’s popular pilot and operator programs including the jet fuel savings program Avfuel Contract Fuel and AVTRIP loyalty rewards.
