Veteran aviation journalist Molly McMillin has joined Penton's Aviation Week Network as Managing Editor of The Weekly of Business Aviation and business aviation content of the Aviation Week Intelligence Network (AWIN).

"I am thrilled to be able to continue serving the business aviation community I respect so much in this newly expanded role," McMillin said upon her appointment. She will continue to be based in Wichita, KS, where she has spent most of her career.

"Molly's business aviation expertise and reputation in the community she covers so well are unrivaled, and make her the perfect candidate for this role. We are excited to have her join our team," said William Garvey, Editor-in-Chief of Penton's Business & Commercial Aviation.

The Weekly of Business Aviation covers economic, regulatory, legal and other matters of import to those within the international business aviation community who manufacture, supply, service or operate business aircraft; the publication is delivered on-line every week. Meanwhile, AWIN is a premium, immediate digital information source covering all aspects of the aerospace and defense industries.

A private pilot, McMillin is a highly respected authority on business aviation. Prior to joining Penton, she spent nearly 20 years at the Wichita Eagle, where she held the position of senior aviation/aerospace reporter. She was the author of the Air Capital Insider blog and is active in social media. In addition, she is currently president of the Kansas chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. McMillin has won numerous awards for her reporting on business and the aviation industry, including the 2013 National Business Aviation Association Gold Wing Award for Journalism Excellence.
