Signature Flight Support San Jose Opens in Silicon Valley

Signature Flight Support has announced the opening of its newly constructed FBO at Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC).

Signature San Jose spans 29 acres with 18.5 acres of ramp space and features 240,000 sq. ft. of hangar space with one 60,000 sq. ft. hangar capable of housing two 767 aircraft. The executive terminal boasts 10,000 sq. ft. Crew facilities offer multiple seating areas, quiet rooms and flight planning facilities.

The LEED-designed facility takes advantage of the latest environmentally-friendly technologies and materials such as high-efficiency lighting in the hangars. Some 80 percent of construction waste material will be repurposed.

"Signature San Jose is stunning and state-of-the-art in every way and is a reflection of Silicon Valley itself. We are immensely proud to become part of the community," Maria Sastre, president and COO for Signature Flight Support, says.

The facility celebrates technology for which Silicon Valley is known. It has partnered with The Tech Museum of Innovation and will showcase technology exhibits throughout the year. Passengers and crews can also wind down in the Tech Garden, which offers a green space lounge with relaxing seating and shade adjacent to the FBO terminal.

"We look forward to welcoming business and leisure travelers to Silicon Valley and the entire Bay Area, and we are especially delighted to support travelers attending Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium,” Sastre says.
