How Quickly Are FBO Fuel Brand Changes Updated for AC-U-KWIK?

The FBO at my home airport changed hands recently. It looks as if they’ve changed fuel brands as well. How long does it take for those changes to show up in AC-U-KWIK?

Way back before the digital age, it would often take months, sometimes up to a year, for new FBO details to show up in Acukwik publications. The hard-copy versions of the North American FBO Directory, the International FBO Directory and the Manager’s World Edition were only printed once a year. Of course, that all changed when we launched Acukwik.com in 1997 and changes could be made instantly to our website. Now the iPad/iPhone app has joined our website to make sure our users get the most updated information possible.

However, we still must be made aware of the changes, and we do that through several channels. We currently reach out to FBO’s and handlers several times a year with emails that enable them to log-on to our database to update their information; not only name and fuel brand changes, but over 100 other important details about their businesses as well. We also have close relationships with fuel companies and exchange information with them several times per year.

We also rely on our loyal subscribers. Our editorial staff often receives calls and emails from pilots and schedulers/dispatchers to alert us of changes before our traditional questionnaire emails and letters are returned. We appreciate the help! If you come across anything in AC-U-KWIK that you feel needs changing, please call our Editor, Paul Wyatt directly at 913-967-1954, or email him at paul.wyatt@penton.com
