AC-U-KWIK, the leading provider of airport and FBO data and information, today formally announces a US-based expansion of airports and heliports to offer more than 24,000 global landing facilities in our digital products. The expansion includes GA airports and roughly 6,000 heliports which makes the AC-U-KWIK product suite a resource for helicopter operations for the first time. Update to ACUKWIK iOS App Resolves Database Issue

The AC-U-KWIK iOS App development team released version 1.2.48 to the Apple App store on Aug. 27, 2018. The update resolves issues for users unable to gain access to the app because of a required database download. The update should be available to active AC-U-KWIK iOS app users in the Apple App store under the Update section. The update may also be accessed from the app details page in the app store.

After the update, users will need to re-login to the app and perform the data update and diagram update to use the app.

On the other hand, the Managers’ World Edition eBook App is a straight-up digital version of AC-U-KWIK’s desktop print edition — our most comprehensive global print resource. It does offer bookmarking and multiple search options plus the convenience of not hauling around a 3 lb. book.

Ask AC-U-KWIK: Can I Continue Using the AC-U-KWIK App without Updating it?

Question: Last week, I launched my AC-U-KWIK iPad app and received a message that a data update was available. It asked if I wanted to proceed with the update. I was pressed for time, and my Wi-Fi connection was fairly sketchy, so I tapped “No” and closed the app. Could I have still used the app without going through the updating process?

Answer: Yes. The app would have still retained its complete functionality even though you did not proceed with the data update. This also applies to the airport diagram update that was provided to our users on the following day. The update only contains changes that have been made since the last update cycle; it only amounts to a fraction of the overall airport and FBO data set that resides on the app.

The update process is quick and painless, provided you have a strong Wi-Fi connection. It should only take a few minutes at most.
