Business Jet Access Receives ARGUS Platinum Recertification
/Business Jet Access (BJA), a leading aviation services provider, has received a Platinum rating recertification by Aviation Research Group/US (ARGUS) following a bi-annual audit. The Platinum rating is the highest designation afforded an FAR Part 135 Aircraft Charter Operator by ARGUS, a Cincinnati, Ohio, based aviation data, research and analysis firm.
In concert with the ARGUS recertification, BJA implemented a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan (ERP) which establishes a high-level of preparedness to deal with emergency situations.
According to industry statistics compiled by ARGUS, there are approximately 1,000 companies that operate jet and turboprop aircraft for passenger charter in the US and only 79 have achieved the Platinum rating. Business Jet Access initially gained its Platinum designation in 2006 after meeting the stringent criteria for the ARGUS Gold rating as well as successfully passing an on-site safety audit which is conducted identically to the Department of Defense (DOD) Air Carrier Quality and Safety inspection. The audit is a very comprehensive evaluation that is constructive, operational and system oriented. BJA pilot hiring requirements and crew training standards exceeded expectations in the recertification documentation.
In addition to achieving the ARGUS Platinum rating recertification, Business Jet Access recently received an FAA Part 145 Repair Station certification and has been designated as an authorized air carrier for conducting flights into and out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).
