Rob Tomenendal Named King Aerospace Sales and Marketing VP

King Aerospace Commercial Corp. has hired Rob Tomenendal as vice president of sales and marketing for the large aircraft completions and modifications effort.

Tomenendal was most recently director of business development for Gore Design Completions in San Antonio, Texas.

“With Rob Tomenendal’s appointment, we have added another key industry veteran to our large aircraft operational and marketing team under the direction of president Ron Soret,” King Aerospace chairman and founder Jerry King-Echevarria said. “Individually, they have built great reputations with leading industry firms like Gore Design and Associated Air Center. Together, they complement our efforts in developing a world-class aircraft completions and modifications program.”

In addition to the post he held at Gore Design, Tomenendal served as director of sales for Garrett Aviation, where he specialized in large aircraft completions, and held positions of increasing responsibility with Gulfstream Aerospace and Cessna Aircraft.

Tomenendal received a master’s degree in business administration from Georgia Southern University and holds an airframe and powerplant license.

“In making my decision to join King Aerospace, I was drawn by the company’s reputation for quality and integrity, which are really the cornerstone principles of the company,” Tomenendal said.

King’s Ardmore facility is well equipped to handle wide-body airframes and virtually any size of business aircraft, including Boeing Business Jets and Airbus equipment. King’s facility includes four hangars that incorporate an aircraft paint bay as well as aircraft modification and refurbishment shops. King’s facility is an FAA Certified Repair Station.
