SW England’s Primary Business Aviation Facility Set For Huge Growth

The group, which incorporates the award winning charter operator Centrelineair based at Bristol Airport, has recently signed a deal with bmi regional to handle the Airbus corporate business as well as agreeing terms with another global brand.

Winning these handling contracts, which will commence in January 2013, will result in a 1700% increase in annual passenger numbers. Work to expand the passenger lounge facilities has already begun and will be completed at the end of December 2012.

The development of the 6,500 square foot, 50 passenger FBO will include the building of two passenger lounges, a separate crew lounge, full security screening facilities and redesigned reception areas.

BFC CEO Phil Brockwell said “Our business aviation facility here at Bristol Airport has always been one of the best equipped in the country for aircraft handling and by the end of the year our expanded passenger facilities will complete the first class offering we can give to our customers. “The bmi regional contract alone will see an additional 40 Embraer 145 movements a week here, however, with our significant dedicated ramp space, the 16,500 aircraft engineering and parking hangar and new passenger and crew areas, we are more than ready for this surge in demand."
