Ohio Mayors Petition President To Support General Aviation
/According to a report from General Aviation News, the mayors say they are specifically concerned about the proposed $100 "user fee" for general aviation flights.
"At such a vulnerable time for our economy, we need to be doing everything we can to support jobs and help to stimulate our economy, not crippling an important industry which represents a lifeline to communities such as ours around the nation," the mayors wrote in the letter.
Those words are very similar to those of Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer, who has also written Obama, asking him to ease off the perceived attacks and inviting him to come to Wichita to see the industry first-hand.
So far, though, no word from the White House about any visits to the Air Capital anytime soon.
