Isle Of Man Aviation Conference Date Is Set

The 2013 theme reflects the global reach of the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry and the continuing emergence of the Island as a major International Business Centre. Over 560 aircraft have been registered since the Registry was founded in 2007. It was voted 'best in the world' in a 2012 survey of leading aviation lawyers, conducted by aviation publication Corporate Jet Investor.

The 2012 Isle of Man Aviation Conference attracted over 150 delegates from the Isle of Man, UK, Europe and beyond, and a high profile list of speakers. Feedback was excellent and according to delegate Andrew Hoy of Execujet, the conference is, “A genuine 'one not to miss' annual event.” Andrew is one of the many delegates to have registered already for the 2013 event.

Mark Byrne, director of ICM Aviation and co-founder of the conference told us:

“One of the aims of this event is to showcase the breadth of expertise and knowledge amongst aviation professionals on the Island. Our conference chair this year is Alasdair Whyte, editor of Corporate Jet Investor. We already have confirmed speakers from BBGA, EBAA, Bombardier and Dassault Aviation. We listened to feedback from our 2012 delegates and have increased the number of networking opportunities culminating with a trip round the TT course with Milky Quayle.”

Interest in the services offered by the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry continues to grow and the conference is a perfect opportunity for Director of Civil Aviation Hartley Elder and his colleagues to meet new contacts. Hartley commented:

“The Aviation Conference has proved to be very popular with clients and organisations involved in the business aviation sector. In the new high tech world, we usually work with clients remotely so this is a wonderful opportunity to meet with them personally, to give them the chance to visit the Aircraft Registry and to see and experience our beautiful Island.“

The conference will be opened by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Mr Adam Wood and take place in the glorious Royal Hall in the Villa Marina.

The conference is sponsored by media partner Fly Corporate and Appleby (Isle of Man) LLC and Luviair. Further information about the event and sponsorship opportunities is available on the conference website: www.icmaviationconference.org.
