Hill Aircraft Celebrates 60 Years of Service

Hill Aircraft, celebrated their 60th anniversary with a block party blowout on Thursday, October 15. Serving Fulton County Airport (KFTY), the FBO was originally founded in 1955 by Guy Hill, Sr., a decorated Navy pilot, aircraft mechanic and politician.

“It was a wonderful event where the aviation community could come together and celebrate the success of one of their own,” said Anna Hill Miller, daughter of Guy Sr.

Festivities included a static display, strolling magician, tastings from Atlanta’s finest food trucks complete with park benches and vintage street lamps, dancing to the sounds of the 50s and 60s, a photo booth and a giant screen with scrolling pictures from the past 60 years.

Guests flew in from across the country to help the Hill family celebrate the anniversary of Guy Hill, Sr.’s dream. Ten years ago Hill Aircraft celebrated the man who started it all, the company and its history. The 60th anniversary party focused not only on Guy Hill, Sr.’s legacy, but also about how bright the future looks for preserving it.

"My father was dedicated to the aviation industry, and we plan on continuing that dedication far into the future," said Guy Hill, Jr.
