Phillips 66 Aviation Hosts Check Presentation at NBAA-BACE to Benefit Corporate Angel Network

Phillips 66 Aviation hosted a check presentation at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) to benefit Corporate Angel Network. The $22,000 donation will support the nonprofit organization’s sole mission – to arrange free transportation to medical treatment for cancer patients and their families utilizing donated seats on corporate aircraft.

The $22,000 donation is the result of an advertising program that recognizes and awards four corporate flight departments for their above-and-beyond participation in CAN’s program. This year’s Corporate Angel Award recipients are Eli Lilly, General Dynamics, Nationwide Insurance and The Walsh Group who combined flew more than 170 flights since joining Corporate Angel Network. The award is co-sponsored by Phillips 66 Aviation (lead sponsor), Safe Flight Instrument Corporation and Business & Commercial Aviation magazine.

“Phillips 66 Aviation is proud to support Corporate Angel Network and the tremendous work they do in providing free flights to cancer patients and their families to and from medical facilities around the nation," said R.G. (Greg) Still, Manager, General Aviation. “It’s our hope that by alleviating the stress and financial burden of transportation, parents and patients will focus on only one thing – getting healthy.”

Working in conjunction with corporate flight departments, Corporate Angel Network arranges approximately 225 patient flights each month. In April of this year, the organization announced a milestone when one-year old Baron Yerby became the 50,000th patient to be flown since the network was founded 35 years ago.
