Hillsboro Aviation (KHIO) Welcomes Customers to New FBO Facility
/Hillsboro Aviation welcomed occupants of its new FBO facility as it opened for business in May.
This marks the end of phase two of the operation’s 425,000 square foot expansion. Hillsboro Aviation now boasts a contemporary 51,000 square foot FBO facility with four acres of ramp space to accommodate transient needs along with a 32,000 square foot hangar. Hillsboro Aviation also welcomes business to its facility with corporate offices for lease.
In addition, the expansion includes two 12,000 gallon fuel tanks—one for Jet A and one with a baffle to accommodate both 100LL and LL-alternative fuels—a new addition to the operation’s fueling capabilities after the expansion.
“The new facility opens wide a host of opportunities,” said Max Lyons, Hillsboro Aviation owner and president. “The expansion has given us the space we need to fully accommodate our traffic and provides a luxurious experience to our customers who choose KHIO—an experience we know our clientele expects.”
As a full-service FBO, Hillsboro Aviation offers its customers fuel and oxygen service, GPU, lav, luxury courtesy and rental cars, catering, a comfortable pilot’s lounge and rest area, a designated flight-planning area, towing, tie-downs, hangar space, an exercise room, electric vehicle charging stations, and showers.
Along with FBO services, Hillsboro Aviation provides the Northwest with expert charter, aircraft sales, maintenance and avionics, and parts sales.
Hillsboro Aviation will formally welcome stakeholders to its facility during a grand opening event in October 2016.
