Aircraft Lighting International Announces PMA Approval of Its 8mm LEDDirect Replacement Lamps

Aircraft Lighting International has received approval of its 8 mm LED Direct Replacement wash lighting system designed for Dassault Falcon 2000, 900 and 50 aircraft.

To date, ALI has installed the system in more than 20 Falcon aircraft.

Because the 8 mm LED system is self-ballasted, the LEDs bypass the AL-2004 ballasts and directly use the 28V DC power. Plug-and-play installation allows operators to use existing lamp holders, diffusors and dimmers and prevents a need to rewire or certify the installation.

The system uses less energy and gives off little to no heat. The system reduces costs and the need for maintenance because the LEDs are shatterproof and free of mercury, and the system requires fewer parts and has a longer lifespan than older technology.

ALI provides a three-year warranty of the 8 mm LED system.
