FBO Riga Renovates Crew Rest Areas

FBO Riga at Riga International Airport (EVRA) has completed renovations of crew facilities.

Designer Zane Tetere, who developed the design for the terminal, worked with FBO Riga on two workplaces equipped with high-speed internet; wireless color printers; a kitchenette with hot and cold refreshments; chairs and sofas; shower room; and lavatory. Both renovated crew facilities are located in the sterile area; therefore, crews may go there directly from the aircraft without passing through security.

FBO Riga says it has noticed crews touching down at the airport for a “short turn” now choosing to stay at the airport in the crew facilities instead of going to a hotel for rest. The crew facilities enable conservation of energy, time and money.

“It is extremely important for the crew to be comfortable as, this way, they can save their time and do not have to worry about anything but can focus and properly prepare for the flight,” Roman Starkov, co-owner of FBO Riga and Flight Consulting Group holding, says.

Connectivity provider Satcom Direct is sponsoring the newly refurbished facilities. SD branding and signage appear throughout the crew area.
