Signature Flight Support and ACF Commit to Support Universal Elite Aerospace
/Signature Flight Support and Aviation Community Foundation (ACF) announce their continued support for Universal Elite Aerospace at National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA) Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition. ACF, which introduces the next generation of aviation professionals to the industry, is a 501-C3 nonprofit organization with a mission to foster an environment of collaboration between aviation education charities, aviation education programs, and aviation companies. Together, Signature Flight Support and ACF are committed to supporting Universal Elite Aerospace, a non-profit Aviation STEM program that aims to provide positive options for urban youth, women, and veterans within the Houston, TX community.
Kenneth Morris, founder of Universal Elite Aerospace, is a Navy veteran and past recipient of the prestigious Alaska Airlines Pilot Scholarship by the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP). Morris went from being homeless to the Director of Education and Outreach at the Lone Star Flight Aviation Museum in Houston before founding his non-profit. He is dedicated to helping youth in his community realize their aviation dreams, hosting events, training, and fly-ins in the Houston area. He credits ACF with helping him help others.
“Working with Aviation Community Foundation has not only taught me how to be a better leader but become a more influential communicator and key figure for those following in my footsteps,” said Morris.
Signature Flight Support is proud to continue its partnership with ACF. Together, they have supported aviation education and outreach programs that reached over 35,000 students in the last year. With the continued support of Signature Flight Support and others, ACF will continue to grow and foster partnership amongst the programs they support and the aviation industry. Over the next year, ACF hopes to develop a high-quality mentorship and aviation career pipeline program via strong collaboration with Signature Flight Support and others.
“The quality of the non-profits and educational institutions that ACF supports are a major part of why we chose to partner with Aviation Community Foundation,” stated Melissa Singer, Senior Director Brand Extension for Signature Flight Support. “ACF’s efforts are producing tangible and meaningful results through STEM education and an introduction to the world of aviation; that’s why we are proud to be their strategic partner.”
