STC Pending for JETTECH’s Garmin G700TXi Install For Citation 500/550/S550/560 Fleet
/JETTECH, a leader in developing affordable aftermarket aircraft solutions, announced the initial Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for its Garmin G700 TXi modification is in the pending stage and will be available for installation for the Cessna Citation II/SII and V fleet.
JETTECH is unveiling its G700 TXi panel installation on a Citation II at the Garmin NBAA-BACE static display, SD 20, located at the Orlando Executive Airport.
According to Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of JETTECH, the Garmin TXi install offers a flexible and scalable design solution to include either a single or dual 10.6 inch flight display paired with dual G650/750 touchscreen displays.
"As a follow-on to our successful STC modification for the Garmin G600 displays, the new STC will allow existing JETTECH customers a special upgrade path for the G700 TXi touchscreen primary flight display," Irwin explained. "Pilots will have flight management system (FMS) functionality through an intuitive touchscreen interface and will experience faster planning, chart rendering and single-finger zoom control. Also, there will be plenty of options for PFD, MFD and EIS functions."
Irwin said the G700 TXi also integrates seamlessly with these navigators, offering even more operational capability, including fully coupled LPV/WAAS approach guidance, as well as the option to display vertical navigation (VNAV) guidance to fly complex RNAV arrival procedures.
Other features of the G700 TXi system include a removable SD card for quick and easy identification and interpretation of maintenance-related issues, HSI mapping, customizable crew profiles, synthetic vision technology (SVT™), TCAS II Resolution Advisory (RA) and optional TAWS-A and TAWS-B.
JETTECH will be offering STC'd installation data packages through approved Garmin authorized dealers and stands ready to support its customers through the installation process. The G700 TXi 1060 will be available for the Citation 500, 550, S550 and 560 aircraft equipped with the Sperry ZPZ 500 Autopilot. The G600 TXi will be available for Citation 501 and 551 aircraft equipped with the Sperry ZPZ 500 Autopilot.
