MCA Announces Promotions for Two Employees
/Andy Arnold, Director of Operations and Chief Pilot at Midwest Corporate Aviation (MCA), has been named General Manager for the company, effective March 1, 2019. As general manager for the FBO, Arnold will direct, manage and oversee MCA departments including fuel/line service, customer service, service center, charter and all other flight operations.
An experienced pilot with 5,384 logged flight hours, Arnold is ASEL/AMEL certified with an HS-125 rating and is a certified flight instructor. He joined the MCA team in August 2017 after the retirement of chief pilot, Marvin Heskett. Prior to moving to Kansas, he was a captain for Lyon Aviation in Pittsfield, Mass., Ameriflight in Burbank, Calif., and Tradewind Aviation in Oxford, Conn.
Steffen Blevins, Line Service Manager for MCA, has been promoted to Fuel/Line Service Director, effective February 12, 2019. In his new position, Blevins will direct and manage the fuel/line department functions including personnel, training and equipment. He will ensure procedural compliance and documentation of all Phillips 66 Aviation Fuel Quality Assurance requirements. Additionally, he will oversee the MCA facility, customer service communication and coordination and act as the liaison with the Wichita Airport Authority (WAA) and the airport police and fire.
Blevins began his career with MCA, in January 2012, as a line service technician. He has received his Safety 1st Professional Line Service Training certification through the National Air Transportation Association. Blevins has worked his way up the ranks under the mentoring and support of MCA management.
