Fargo Jet Center’s Part 145 Repair Station Receives EASA Certification

Fargo Jet Center’s Part 145 aviation repair station has received certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), via a recommendation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Standards District Office.

EASA, headquartered in Cologne, Germany, is an agency of the European Union responsible for regulating civil aviation safety and stipulates that aircraft parts must be inspected, maintained, or altered by certified repair stations. Receiving EASA certification allows FJC to perform maintenance services on European-registered aircraft and endorses that the work conducted meets safety requirements.

FJC currently holds a contract with Polish EMS operator Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe involving the design, modification, and maintenance support of two Bombardier Learjet 75 aircraft. With the EASA certification, FJC’s team has the authorization to perform services on these aircraft both in the United States and Europe.

Additionally, the EASA certification ensures FJC can support any maintenance needs of European-registered aircraft entering the U.S. through Fargo’s Hector International Airport’s 24/7 U.S. Customs Port of Entry.

FJC’s EASA certification is currently active and will be renewed every two years by submitting evidence of continued compliance of the required standards of EASA.
