Amelia Rose Earhart and Signature Flight Support Celebrate Her Around the World Flight at AirVenture

On Monday, July 28, Amelia Rose Earhart, the youngest woman to circumnavigate the Earth in a single-engine aircraft, will be at the Signature Flight Support at AirVenture in OshKosh, Wis., at the exhibit from 1 p.m to 2 p.m. CST. Amelia Rose will be available for interviews, signing autographs and having her picture taken with fans.

The group will be celebrating Earhart's recent accomplishment of recreating the around-the-world flight made by her namesake. The original Amelia Mary Earhart was born almost 120 years ago. In 1937, Amelia Mary disappeared after an attempt at a solo world flight. However, the two are not biologically related.

Although, the modern-day Amelia didn't fly solo, she and co-pilot Shane Jordan, made almost 20 stops during the two-week adventure from west-to-east after starting off at Metropolitan Oakland International Airport.
