Odyssey Aviation Launches Seven Additional Locations
/Odyssey Aviation has announced that seven additional locations are launching under the Odyssey brand name through the formation of a cobranding partnership between Odyssey Aviation in Nassau, Bahamas, and the Cincinnati-based FBO group owned by Ken Allison.
Allison’s seven Odyssey branded FBOs, formerly operating as members of a national FBO chain, are located at Asheville, N.C. (KAVL), Charleston, S.C. (KCHS) (pictured above), Chicago (KMDW), Cincinnati (KLUK), Columbus, Ohio (KCMH), Lafayette, La. (KLFT) and New Orleans (KNEW).
The idea for the joint venture was an easy one for cofounders Allison and Steven Kelly, president of Odyssey Aviation Bahamas, who have been friends and worked together as former franchisees for the past decade. For several years, the two CEOs had partnered their companies in joint marketing efforts and shared many philosophies about best practices, the direction of the industry, and how to partner with the customer “to create the seamless extension of a flight department.”
Odyssey Aviation’s independence from a major national chain or franchise system allows the FBOs “flexibility to adapt to changes in the industry rapidly, responding to our customers’ needs,” Kelly said. The organization’s strategic alliance gives them the “freedom to invest in improvements that bring exceptional value to the table” for their partner, the customer.
Odyssey refers to each operation as an “FSP–Flight Service Partner.” The term FBO describes what each operation is, but Odyssey’s people and their personal commitment — the quality of the partnership — define the essence of the new brand.
There has been no change of ownership, management or staff that have literally hundreds of combined years of experience and service. “Having served our customers successfully for over 20 years, it’s our mission to continue to provide our customers consistent, quality, safe aviation services at affordable and competitive prices, promote and safeguard the welfare of all employees, and earn the respect and loyalty of the flying public,” Allison said. “The Odyssey locations will complement one another and enhance the value of the brand.”
