At Odyssey Aviation in New Orleans, Good Times Roll Again
/Like much of New Orleans, Odyssey Aviation has rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina.
The FBO at Lakefront Airport (KNEW) officially opened its new facility on March 10. Formerly branded Million Air, the FBO has spent nearly five years since the hurricane operating out of temporary facilities and constructing a new facility.
Odyssey Aviation built the new FBO in a more convenient location. It is on the south side of the field and west of the terminal building at the end of Taxiway F. Upon arrival, the first turn off the runway leads to Odyssey's ramp.
When entering the airport from Interstate 10, customers will find Odyssey's main entrance straight ahead. The FBO offers direct access to the ramp upon departure.
Inside, the ellipse-shaped lobby gives customers many different views of Lake Pontchartrain. To celebrate the art deco details of Lakefront Airport, the FBO has ingrained geometric designs in the décor.
Odyssey Aviation offers free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and other amenities that crews and passengers expect.
