Hangar63 (Banyan’s Aviation Store) and TropicAero.com hosted its annual customer appreciation day.  More than 360 people attended the event and participated in the day’s activities that took place at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

Several vendors added to the excitement of the day: Charlie and Donna Rogers from Survival Products Inc. demonstrated inflating a safety raft; Gene Greene from Telex was on-site to promote the new Ascend headset; Mark Claprood from Bose promoted the Bose Aviation X Headsets; and Ed Morris represented the ACR product line.  In addition, Premier Aircraft Sales had a Mooney and a Diamond DA40 on static display along with Cessna’s 208 Caravan and a Corvalis.

Several other organizations attended, including, Angel Flight, Fort Lauderdale Flight Training and the Florida Aero Club. Many attendees won drawings for prizes donated by the key event sponsors: Garmin, Bose, Avfuel, ACR Electronics, Oakley and Telex.

“We have been coming to the customer appreciation day for the last 3 years. This year the event has grown to include more activities for the kids making this a great event for the whole family,” said Captain John and Eloise Ruby.

Chuck Speakman, Manager of Hangar63 and TropicAero.com organized this year’s event and in addition to the activities added a bounce house, clown, face painting, basketball gam, and cotton candy for the children to enjoy.

“We were very pleased with the turnout, and we are very grateful to all of our loyal customers and vendors who support us year-round. Without great customers and great vendors, events such as this would simply not be possible,” said Speakman.
