Moses Lake FBO Joins Million Air Network
/Million Air celebrated the opening of the franchised FBO Million Air Moses Lake at Grant County International Airport (KMWH).
The FBO, owned by Freeman Holdings of Washington LLC, joined the Million Air network on July 1, 2009. After $1.3 million in renovations, Million Air hosted a grand opening celebration on July 10, 2010, to introduce the Million Air brand to the Moses Lake market.
More than 200 people, including current and potential Million Air customers, gathered to learn about Million Air’s service offerings and tour the remodeled FBO. The renovations include a new theater room as well as a remodeled main terminal lobby and corporate lounge.
“Freeman Holdings is pleased to add Million Air Moses Lake to its family of FBOs,” Chris Freeman, managing member of Freeman Holdings of Washington LLC, said.
“Its Northwest location gives us a presence where we were currently not represented, and its long runways, extensive ramp area and hydrant jet refueling system are ideal for the large military and commercial aircraft that we have the experience of servicing,” Freeman Holdings CEO Scott Freeman said.
The FBO officially opened in 2009 and has developed a customer base that includes large military aircraft and Boeing commercial aircraft flight test operations, which recently included the 787 Dreamliner and 747-8F Super Freighter. Catering to those who serve the nation, the staff is ready to assist from troop movements, to act as a relief base and to host training exercises such as Operational Readiness exercises and Air Mobility Rodeo.
The overall facility encompasses more than 70 acres of ramp space with five runways with the longest being 13,500 feet. Located at 7810 Andrews St., Suite 134, Million Air Moses Lake’s offices are housed in the main terminal building. The building measures 4700 square feet and includes a Jet-a-way Café for passengers and crew to enjoy a home-cooked meal.
