Midwest Corporate Aviation: Red Carpet Service Woven into Fiber of the FBO
/Crews stopping at Midwest Corporate Aviation in Wichita, Kan., can expect to find people with passion for aviation and an attitude intent on delivering exceptional customer service.
The FBO at Wichita Col. James Jabara Airport (KAAO) stresses that everyone who works there is involved in customer service. “Not only do we strive to exceed customer expectations, we want our customers to return again and again,” chairman Barbara Autry says.
Although Midwest Corporate Aviation is the sole FBO at its airport, it operates as though a competitor is on the field, Autry says.
To that end, the FBO has refurbished its facility and keeps it clean and up to date with amenities crews and passengers expect. The service department can perform annual inspections, handle squawks and install ADS-B equipment. An inspector recently commended the company’s organization and attention to detail.
The customer service experience at Midwest Corporate Aviation begins with the FBO’s “Red Carpet” service. Passengers step onto a red carpet to board or deplane.
Red Carpet service also means treating all customers the same regardless of the type of engines and cabin capacity of the aircraft, displaying an attitude that values customers, and extending hospitality into a clean, updated FBO around the clock.
Because it is located in Wichita, Midwest Corporate Aviation has been able to recruit from a job market filled with passionate people who have roots in aerospace and aviation.
“Our community of aircraft enthusiasts is savvy and provides an ideal resource for employee recruitment, aircraft manufacturer expertise and advice, same-day parts acquisition, and local specialty services such as landing gear overhauls, for example,” Autry says.
